The Scottish Solar Energy Group promotes the use of solar in Scotland as a means of reducing national reliance upon fossil based fuels, whilst enhancing the health and comfort within internal working and living environments.
SSEG events include regular visits to solar projects, meetings, talks and participation in energy related conferences and competitions.
To promote the application, development and research of solar energy in Scotland.
To bring together a forum of professionals and academics to exchange ideas on pioneering research, latest technological advancements, design ideas and built architectural application of solar energy.
Give mutual support between engineers, architects, researchers, suppliers and installers of solar energy equipment, broadening knowledge base and awareness of latest developments.
Organise events, seminars, conferences of the issues relating to renewable energy, energy efficiency and the protection of the environment.
Prepare, publish and distribute reports, newsletters and other multimedia products relating to solar developments.
